The Larson-Juhl Director, Talent Management will oversee and manage all aspects of the human resource and payroll functions for North America. The successful candidate will have a strong talent management background with experience designing and implementing a wide array of talent acquisition, talent management, and employee development programs. The Director, Talent Management will partner with fellow leadership team members to build and develop high-performing teams, managing all aspects of the team member lifecycle. The Director, Talent Management will oversee a small team of outsourced partners responsible for all operational functions including payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, team member relations, compliance, policies and procedures, and more.
The ideal Director, Talent Manager candidate will have a strong background in talent management, a proven track record of building collaborative partnerships with business leaders, and excellent relationship-building skills. He/she will demonstrate ownership and accountability for the HR and payroll functions and display strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. The Director will have the ability to perform effectively in an environment with changing workloads and priorities.
Key Job Responsibilities - Support our 400+ team members across the United States and Canada
- Lead a small team of third-party partners and oversee their execution of operational HR and payroll responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team to proactively support a culture of performance and accountability within our salaried corporate staff, field sales, customer service, and branch operations teams
- Design/source and implement necessary leadership training, and engage with leaders to improve their effectiveness
- Lead the performance management process for North America team members, including communication, training, supporting resources, and compliance
- Conduct annual talent reviews to identify risks and growth opportunities for all salaried team members, including identifying and supporting high-potential members
- Lead recruiting efforts for salaried positions and own the onboarding and assimilation of new managers
- Serve as the main point of contact for managers and leaders and support them with hiring, onboarding, and development of hourly team members
- Partner with leaders to address team member relations issues
- Provide consultation to team members and third-party partners on our processes and policies, and manage compliance risks
- Lead and participate in HR projects needed to improve efficiency and team member experience
- Lead and participate in compensation structure reviews for hourly team members
- Work as the HR Business Partner to the CEO, Executive Business Director, and VP, Finance on strategic matters and salaried team member reviews and salary administration
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field,
- Fifteen (15) or more years of proven experience in progressively responsible HR leadership roles
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills using English
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or French will be helpful
- The ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and team members
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be a team player and able to work both collaboratively and independently
- Requires strict attention to detail and ability to manage multiple/simultaneous deadlines
- Must be able to work under pressure and with attention to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed

The Director, Talent Management's starting pay will be competitive and commensurate with the chosen candidate's qualifications and experience. This is an Exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay.
