Prospects respond to advertisements in various media including newspapers, magazines, newsletters, radio campaigns, DR TV, direct mail and online.

Scheduling:
This is a full-time, 40 hours a week position.
Summary:
YMT Director of Product and Operations is a cross-functional departmental leader within the business, responsible for the product development and execution of land and cruise tour programs and optional tours in line with the business strategy. Responsibilities include owning the operations team, emergency protocols and incident responses, trip profitability, and continuous product and operational innovation. The Director of Operations reports to the President/Managing Director and is an active contributor/collaborator on the YMT Senior Leadership team in developing and ensuring delivery of company objectives and performance. The role will lead 7 team members: 3 Product Managers, 1 Product Specialists, 1 Air Ticketing Supervisor, 2 Operations Managers (Europe and North America).
What You Will Be Doing:
Product Development and Management Strategy
- Plan new tours for expansion and identify and discontinue under-performing tours
- Ensure Product Managers develop tours in line with business timescales and strategy
- Ensure tours, including costs, are accurately coordinated
- Review supplier contracts to ensure adherence to company standards and Safety Management System, raise for further review when indicated by company policy
Revenue Management & Margin Performance
- Pioneer the impact of product pricing on sales and conversion
- Plan tour capacity and inventory; conduct ongoing inventory analysis and direct consolidation of tours
- Lead tour pricing and set costs, by analyzing historic performance, market influences and budget requirements; define assumptions and propose selling prices
- Closely evaluate sales against budget and pacing by using available data sources and reports
Tour Operations
- Review workloads and staffing of Operations Team to ensure execution of land and cruise tour programs
- Ensure team accurately records tour costs in the reservations system and work with the finance team to ensure trip profitability is at or above budget/forecast
Departmental Leader
- Develop, maintain, and support our Safety Management System goals and objectives for the Product and Operations teams and leading department compliance
- Develop and maintain metrics, analytical reports, and key performance indicators to optimize operations and drive team performance, company profitability and customer experience (NPS) scores
- Define and guide department activities and communications to ensure standard methodologies, operational efficiencies and adherence to standards and drive improvements to customer experience as measured by NPS and department support ratings.
What We Are Looking For:
- Dynamic management experience with product and operations management, contracting and pricing in travel or a related industry
- Analytical skills to work through the development of business solutions
- Familiarity with working in MS Office (Excel), data warehouse, and back-office systems.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities while working in an effective manner
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally occasionally (estimated at 5%) for trade shows, business meetings, product contracting, planning and destination familiarization estimated.
