Quality Control Chemist
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Control Chemist for a contract to hire position at a Nutraceutical company in Chatsworth, CA. Pay Rate:
$24+/hr Depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Overview:
Develops and validated new analytical test methods
Performs analytical testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products as assigned
Crates original SOPs and revises existing ones for compliance with cGMP/GLP
Performs out-of-specification investigations (OOS) for analytical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products
Prepares and reviews analytical test result reports
Operates, troubleshoots and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment, and performs Qualification/Validation when needed
Provides training and guidance to new and existing employees on GMP analytical methodologies. Ensures trainees have a thorough understanding of materials and are compliant with regulatory documentation
Responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the purchase of laboratory supplies and maintenance program
Recommend new and innovative solutions to problems utilizing scientific creativity. Offer recommendations to continuously improve regulatory compliance
Implement GLP within the laboratory
Participate in the laboratory hazardous communication program
Maintains safe, organized and a clean work environment
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Chemistry
2 years experience supporting dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, or food industry
