Job description

AEVEX Aerospace is hiring Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering Interns to join our team. You will work closely with engineering teams across AEVEX to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in various phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking engineers whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs. You'll have the opportunity develop and refine technical skills working alongside industry experts in aircraft design, avionics and/or autonomy.

The AEVEX Internship Program gives individuals who are early in their career the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities while discussing goals, evaluating performance and receiving regular feedback. This Engineering Intern will work along side the French Valley Engineering Team through a variety of disciplines to envision, design, and develop products and systems while developing and refining their technical skills.

Essential Functions

• Example functions include:
• Assists with aspects of project development under the supervision of an engineering group leader
• Collaborates with senior staff on aircraft modifications & component installations
• Documents aircraft repairs, coordinating with liaison engineering staff
• Conducts aircraft structural & electrical drawing updates as directed by project engineers
• Generates aircraft certification reports under the direction of senior certification staff
• Collaborates with managers to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout the duration of the program
• Performs other duties as requested by members of the team

Education / Certifications

• Recent degree or current enrollment in an engineering program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)

Experience

• No prior experience necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment

Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
