Job Title: Tableau Developer

Experience Level: 10 Years

Location: Maryland NY

Responsibilities:

1. Dashboard Development:

   • Design develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing Tableau dashboards to meet business requirements.

2. Data Visualization:

   • Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights and trends to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

3. Data Integration:

   • Integrate and prepare data from various sources for use in Tableau ensuring accuracy consistency and optimal performance.

4. Performance Optimization:

   • Optimize Tableau dashboards and reports for performance considering large datasets and complex calculations.

5. Requirement Gathering:

   • Collaborate with business users and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.

6. Custom Calculations:

   • Develop custom calculations parameters and filters to address specific business needs and ensure data accuracy.

7. Data Security:

   • Implement data security measures and access controls within Tableau to protect sensitive information.

8. Training and Documentation:

   • Provide training sessions to endusers on Tableau usage and best practices. Create and maintain documentation for developed dashboards and solutions.

9. Collaboration with Data Teams:

   • Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to ensure the availability and reliability of data for Tableau reporting.

10. Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct thorough testing of Tableau dashboards to ensure accuracy functionality and adherence to business requirements.

11. Stay Updated:

    • Stay informed about the latest Tableau features and updates incorporating them into existing workflows as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Tableau Developer.
• Proven experience in creating complex Tableau dashboards and data visualizations.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate insights derived from data to diverse audiences.
• Experience with data integration and data preparation.
• Familiarity with data security and access control within Tableau.
