Description:
Need a traveling super to support a small- med scale excavation of hazardous soils in Cleveland, OH. Overseeing 6-8 guys and demonstrate knowledge on staging contaminated soils and pumping of water. Some excavation sites are 1ft deep where others are 16-18 ft deep. Knowledge of troubleshooting equipment if needed.
Field Supervising Remediation Projects:
- Lead daily field meetings to align crews, tasks, and safety related topics.
- Coordinate field activities to meet a project schedule.
- Communicate with client/owner’s on-site representatives.
- Coordinate material deliveries as necessary to support the work.
- Work with Project Managers to select appropriate personnel, equipment, materials and subcontractors to complete the project.
- Manage employees and subcontractors to conduct work in the safest most professional manner.
- Communicate job progress, productions, and potential problems to offsite management.
- Identify and manage changes in the work and communicate with client/owner and project management.
Qualifications - Minimum 5 years experience supervising environmental soil and/or groundwater remediation projects; or large industrial demolition projects
- Experience with mid to large scale contaminated soils excavation and capping projects
- Experience with Global Positioning Systems preferred
- Knowledge and experience with construction of below grade utilities installation.
- Knowledge and experience with construction temporary and permanent water treatment systems
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Office preferred
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Ability to estimate and quantify work requirements and maintain a budget
- Good organizational, leadership and communications skills
- Attentive to maintaining safety in the workplace
- Ability to travel as necessary
