Job description
We are seeking to hire a Nurse Unit Manager – RN for our Post-Acute Short-Term Unit.
Details: 8am to 4:30pm; 1 weekend every six weeks, salaried role.
$90,000-$115,000 annually depending on qualification and experience
- Current licensure in the State of MA as a Registered Nurse - RN.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in nursing supervision or nursing management in Long-Term Care.
Job Summary:
- Make daily resident rounds and report to the DON.
- Review timely completion of residents’ MDS assessments and care plans with follow up action as necessary.
- Review residents admitted and compare physician orders with each of resident’s plan of care to assure appropriate implementation of the physician’s plan of care.
- Direct, evaluate and supervise resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Empower nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels by recruiting replacement staff as necessary .
- Hold staff meetings as needed.
