Position Summary
The role of a PC&L Supervisor is to manage the internal flow of pieces, from receipt to shipping.
Responsibilities
· Ensure customer delivery: feed and monitor the sequencer, supervise preparation and loading of finished products into trucks, track shipments, communicate all shipment failures, implement customer Misdeliveries per Million (MPM) follow up and contribute to its reduction.
· Ensure adequate production lines supplies: assure the cleanness and tidiness of stocking areas, ensure feeding of production lines (small train), supervise the unloading of pieces and measure suppliers MPM and manage a warning system in picking zone.
· Conduct the implementation of logistics basics: booking operations, traceability, labelling, container management, etc.
· Look for productivity gains.
· Manage, train and coach logistics operators team.
· Follow requirements established with 7 Delivery Basics and 7 Inventory Basics.
· Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant HSE requirements.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
· Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations.
· Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
· Conform to requirements established in Fraser Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
· Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant EMS requirements.
· Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets.
Other:
· Follow values established within the firm. Act with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as with autonomy and accountability.
· Act in accordance with the behaviors as established in the company’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
· Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
Position Specifications
Authorities:
· Issue disciplinary actions to operators/GAP Leaders based on company rules and policies; including, but not limited to suspend employees.
· Stop the line to protect operators and customers from potential harm or quality issues.
· Approve/deny Paid absences based on business needs.
· Set schedules based on customer demands; including but not limited to run overtime.
· Implement rewards and recognition based on performance.
· Approve short shipping.
· Change of work content.
· Flex employees out based on customer performance.
· Escalate line KATA to HP QRCI 8D.
· Go into backup mode when poka yoke cannot be fixed in a timely manner.
· Refuse a shipment or divert it to hold.
· Sound alarm for natural disaster/security breaches/fire.
Knowledge / Skills:
· Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills
· Tact, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
· Strong teamwork sense
Education / Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
· Experience in Logistics in an industrial environment
· Experience with SAP preferred
· 2-3 years of supervisory experience
· Proficient level of English
