Pharmacy Intern (Summer)
Guaynabo, PR | Monday to Friday 9am-6pm
Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 (hourly)

SUMMARY:
The objective is to offer the pharmacy students comprehensive exposure to the PBM industry particularly the Drug Information Pharmacist role. The pharmacy intern will learn how to prepare monographs and present them to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. In addition, they will work closely with the Drug Information Pharmacist in the creation and updating prior-authorization criteria. This position will report to the Drug Information Pharmacist.
Essential Functions:
• Create and Update Authorizations
• Develop Drug Monographs
• Present Drug Monographs and PA updates to the P&T and Coverage Determination team
• Support Drug Information Pharmacist projects.
EDUCATION:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program
• Active Pharmacy Intern License
EXPERIENCE:
• 3 to 4 years as a student in a pharmacy school
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices, including knowledge of HIPAA and
patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare
professionals, and pharmacy staff.
