Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB)

Job Summary
Coordinate day-to-day operation of the FLUdetect research; organizing affiliated research approvals, protocols, and data management; and ensure a high degree of coordination between collaborators and ongoing and/or planned research activities.
Duties & Responsibilities



Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in biology or life science-related field. Four years of experience working with large research teams. Experience with microbial genomics/laboratory work. Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)



Preferred Qualifications


Ph.D. in biology or life science-related field. Experience working with large research teams. Experience with microbial genomics/laboratory work.


Familiarity with the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Appointment Information


This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 3/1/2024. Salary range begins at $70,000/year and is commensurate with experience.
