Job Title: Software Engineer II
Location: Moline, IL, 61265
Type: ONLY on W2 contract (NO C2C)
Length: 03/04/2024 to 10/31/2024
Pay Rate –$57 to $63 per hour
Notes:
This position will be part of a Global IT Scrum Agile Delivery Team. This role will support and maintain the search engine for client
Job responsibilities:
Specialize in working within IBM Watson Foundational to ensure crawling, indexing, and query capabilities are meeting customer expectations.
Work within established guidelines such as coding and versioning standards, workflow automations, and change/incident/vulnerability/problem management
Responsibility for periodic on-call support of reported High/Critical Incidents related to Search Engine Application and Infrastructure
Skill Set Requirements:
Experience administrating/supporting applications hosted within Linux Infrastructure
Experience working with Search Engines (IBM Watson, Solr, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, etc.)
Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to work independently to deliver solutions and document resolution steps/observations
Experience with communicating technical decisions and their rationales to stakeholders and development teams

2+ years practical experience with enterprise search technologies (IBM Watson, OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, Solr)
Ability to work with cloud databases and complex environments requiring high performance and scalability
