Job description
Vaco Richmond is recruiting for a Accounts Receivable Coordinator who has a strong attention to detail and can provide a proactive approach to problem-solving.
All Candidates must reside locally in the Richmond, VA area
Responsibilities:
Ledger Reconciliation : Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger, typically at least bimonthly, to ensure accuracy.
Billing Assistance : Assisting in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger and supporting the Accounting team in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
Processing Payments and Transactions : The primary responsibility involves handling customer or franchisee payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
This includes verifying and recording these payments accurately.
Invoicing : Creating invoices according to company practices and sending them out to customers/franchisees in a timely manner.
Customer File Maintenance : Updating and maintaining customer files, ensuring the accuracy of information such as name, address changes, mergers, or other relevant details.
Bank Reconciliation : Reconciling bank account activity to ensure that customer payments are accurately reflected and applied.
Collections and Correspondence : Handling past-due accounts by drafting correspondence, identifying delinquent accounts, and contacting customers to request payment.
Reporting : Generating reports on the status of customer accounts as required by management or other departments.
Discrepancy Resolution : Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounting team and other relevant staff members.
Administrative Tasks : Handling administrative tasks such as copying, filing, retrieving materials related to accounts receivable, and relaying changes of information to appropriate employees.
About: This role can potentially allow some time to work from home after a training period
