Description
The Cook Supervisor oversees the day to day functioning of the kitchen. The Cook Supervisor will not only cook, but be apart of the meal plan production, they will help plan cleaning schedules, and maintain storage areas/ cleaning equipment as well as maintaining HACCP logs.
The kitchen deals in high volume daily production of food. We are looking for someone who has prior experience in handling and managing a high, daily volume of food and a hectic work-day. We produce around 3000 meals a day.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm
Essential Job Functions:
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the incumbent will have to sit, stand and or walk for the majority of the shift. The incumbent is required to regularly talk or hear while fulfilling the duties of the job. The incumbent may have to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move more than 75 pounds. The incumbent must have a clean driving record as they may have to act as a backup driver.
Environmental Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud depending on what kitchen machinery is in use.
