This position is located in the Program Review and Audits Unit at Headquarters in Sacramento.

Statement of Qualifications

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required.  Please note that resumes, cover letters, and/or any other documents  do not take the place of the SOQ.   Applicants who fail to submit a complete SOQ as instructed and/or fail to submit all of the required documents may be eliminated from the selection process.

The SOQ serves as documentation of your ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.  In your SOQ, describe your experience, knowledge, and competencies as they relate to each of the items listed below.  The items must be addressed and numbered in the same order as listed; do not consolidate responses.  Responses should include at the top: the title Statement of Qualifications and your first and last name.  The SOQ must be no more than 3 pages, typed, single-spaced, using 12-point Arial font on standard letter-sized paper with one (1)-inch margins.

1. Describe your background, experience, education and/or training that makes you the best candidate for this position.

2. Provide an example of a time when you overcame a challenge in a team setting and describe what you learned from the experience.  

3. Describe your experience writing reports and making presentations to an audience.

4. Please describe your experience in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls for an organization.
