Our expertise lies in accelerating delivery in Data and Analytics, Intelligent Automation, Application Development, and IT Modernization. We are currently expanding our Federal team and are seeking a passionate and talented Application Migration Specialist. This opportunity is 100% remote.
As an Application Migration and Modernization Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our technological evolution. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for migrating and modernizing existing applications, bringing expertise in client or server migrations. Experience in the federal space is optional but highly valuable. The ideal candidate will have a background in application development or program management, with a proven track record in delivering successful migration and modernization projects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance Key Responsibilities: Lead the migration and modernization of existing applications, ensuring smooth transitions and improved functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and execute server-based application migration strategies.
Provide expertise in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies for modernization efforts.
Work closely with application developers and program managers to understand existing systems and develop comprehensive migration plans.
Manage and mitigate risks associated with migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated applications to guarantee optimal performance.
Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in application migration and modernization.
Qualifications: Educational Level: BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in application migration and modernization.
Previous experience as an application developer or program manager is a plus.
Required Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in leading successful application migration and modernization projects.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server (Server 2019-Server 2022) migrations hosting ASP.NET and .Net Framework applications.
Familiarity with a variety of technologies and tools used in application modernization.
- Experience with Azure PaaS offerings.
- Experience with M365 SaaS Microsoft Power Apps.
- Experience with Power Shell.
- Experience with Service Now.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research and navigate complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements.
Previous work in application development or program management.
Familiarity with Azure cloud-based technologies and migration strategies.
Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies.
