Position Description
This role is a key position within the team responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise. The Atlantic Union Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Manager will help lead the cultural transformation across the enterprise to understand challenges, solve problems, improve and enhance processes to align with business priorities and deliver business transformation. This position will partner with leadership from all Lines of Business to develop and drive the next generation of technologies and process improvement for the end-to-end customer experience to support making banking easier.
The focus of this role is analyzing company processes and procedures to develop process improvement strategies, investigating shortfalls, issues, and pain points in current business processes through a mix of cross-functional mapping sessions, and developing solutions that improve efficiency to ensure continuous company performance. This role is responsible for leading process improvement efforts across the company, by design facilitation, creating materials, documenting, and assessing bank processes as well as implementing changes in workflows, structures, and products while recommending improvement and automation opportunities to various leadership audiences.
Position Accountabilities
- Lead the cultural transformation across the enterprise to understand challenges, solve problems, improve and enhance processes to align with business priorities
- Lead strategic business improvement initiatives and projects, and act as a BPM SME to stakeholders in identifying and prioritizing improvement initiatives and projects
- Lead improvement initiatives by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of process management principles, methodologies and tools
- Work with LOB Heads to identify and assess opportunities across initiatives that will drive efficiencies
- Optimize operational performance as a change agent, promoting agile thinking, and partnering with teams to set them up for success
- Understanding customers' needs of the process and driving process improvements (focused on process optimization, cost reduction, customer experience and operational excellence)
- Energize teams and stakeholders, collect data, conduct diagnostic analysis, identify opportunities that positively impact quality, cost, delivery excellence, and customer satisfaction, and present action plan to management
- Collaborate and engage cross functional members at all levels of the organization and execute initiatives and projects that will drive quantifiable savings (ROI)
Organizational Relationship
This role reports direct to the Head of Continuous Improvement Service Team
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or 10+ years related work experience in a banking environment
- Must have 10+ years in process improvement including event facilitation, workflow creation, and process analysis
- Change management experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including knowledge of process review and improvement techniques and the ability to influence change
- Knowledge of Six Sigma - Green Belt or Black Belt techniques required. Certification, or significant progress toward certification, preferred
- Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies
- A proven track record of establishing a proactive, constructive dialogue and partnering effectively with business leaders
- Ability to identify and influence process changes that drive performance in a complex organization
- Advanced written, oral, interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to prepare and present presentations and guide internal customers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
