This role will support multiple seller risk focused workstreams; responsible for ensuring we continue to pursue data driven decisions, track progress, and implement improvements to exceed seller and customer expectations. Walmart Marketplace Risk team is focused on developing best in class tools, technology, and operational processes to accelerate new seller growth. While balancing financial risks and protecting the seller and shopper experience. The team is seeking ambitious candidates that are curious, resilient, and go getters. This role is heavily cross-functional with product, data science, engineering, operations, finance, and compliance. Requiring the ability to establish & nurture deep cross functional partnerships that connect complimentary efforts across the organization to enable the launch of scalable systems and services that allow us to meet our mutual objectives while maintaining a focus on efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help to understand, predict/prevent, and control negative customer experience or business outcomes resulting from fraud and other abuse of selling privileges on the Walmart Marketplace, through the practical application of appropriate technologies.
- Identify and address technology & process improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous improvement; conduct competitive assessments, develop business cases, and set risk objectives and KPIs for the seller experience.
- Develop technology roadmaps to deliver seller risk capabilities across the life cycle in areas such as item setup & listing abuse, seller identity access and account management vulnerabilities, global seller risk and device intelligence, or terms of use and reputational manipulation.
- Define and lead requirements with key partners (product management, design, and engineering), championing seller risk strategy improvements, sharing best practices and promoting standardization across the seller experience.
- Develop & leverage data driven insights to continuously examine & optimize business processes, workflows & tools for both internal & external users with the goal of increasing efficiency, reducing cost, or improving the customer & seller experience.
- Define business objectives and measure progress in achieving results; demonstrate strong commitment towards goals and driving complex projects focused on global seller risk management.
- Help drive marketplace risk strategy, presenting to executive level stakeholders and senior level management, developing and executing a plan of action for sensitive scenarios
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business or product operations & strategy, process improvement, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience working with engineering and/or data science teams in developing solutions to address business problems
- Strong analytical skills – creative problem-solver that can leverage sources of information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced, and actionable analysis
- Strong oral and written communication skills – including the ability to develop and deliver complex messages in a simple, actionable way
- Proven ability to bridge data with business insights to drive relevant, actionable output
- Team player who is a self-starter and able to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment
- Previous eCommerce, Marketplace, and Risk experience; operations or product experience roles a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Stock equity incentives
