Job Description:

The Master of Social Work ( MSW ) Field Education Director position is required by the Council on Social Work Education, social work's accrediting body, to provide leadership in the on-going administration and implementation of MSW field education in accordance with field education accreditation standards and with respect for diversity, inclusion, and equity across the field experience. The MSW Field Education Director collaborates and works closely with the MSW Program Director and MSW faculty to deliver a quality field education experience to MSW students. The MSW Field Education Directors assists in the development of MSW program expansion, including an online MSW Program and expanding field education opportunities across the state of Minnesota and nation.

Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.

Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes: Up to 20% of the time. Telework: A position with a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work on a regular basis at a telework location that is not the employee's permanent/principal work location.

This position requires a valid, applicable driver's license, as well as DVS records check with an acceptable rating.

This position requires a passing background check.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
The MSW Program at Minnesota State, Mankato has been accredited since 2010, and the BSSW program since 1974. Each year, the MSW Program graduates 26-32 students and the BSSW Program graduates 65-70 majors. The Department of Social Work consists of 15 full-time faculty and staff that are actively engaged in teaching, practice, scholarship, student development, and service. The MSW Program, which has an Advanced Generalist specialization with a rural and small community emphasis, supports a Title IV-E Child Welfare training program, and supports a HRSA -funded behavioral workforce training grant.
