Job description

Responsibilities: As a Legal Assistant / Legal Specialist, you will assist the General Counsel in managing and administering all legal responsibilities, while also providing HR support. Your duties will include: · Communicating effectively with various stakeholders through in-person, phone/video calls, text, and email. · Proofreading, reviewing, and drafting legal correspondence. · Managing contracts, including tracking, monitoring deadlines, and creating reports. · Maintaining and updating internal contract documents and templates. · Tracking and reporting on outside counsel expenditures. · Reviewing non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements. · Proofreading and reviewing company policies and procedures. · Conducting legal research. · Providing administrative support to the General Counsel. · Scheduling and coordinating meetings. · Supporting the Legal Team's special projects and long-term initiatives. Preferred Experience: 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment in a law firm or small-to-mid-sized business. Prior experience in legal. Computer-literate with MS Office suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment. Education: Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) related to law, Contracts, journalism, or marketing. Special consideration for Certified Paralegals and Juris Doctors.
