General Information:
The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the HUB Logistics Manager on the definition of transportation process, to monitor the key performance indicators, create and follow up actions for under performance indicators, develop and implement process improvements initiatives related to transport and logistics processes.
The Logistics Operations Specialist take full responsibility for supporting and executing transport strategic sourcing and transport execution for projects, including the co-ordination with LSPs and ending with the delivery of the cargo, respectively codification/approval of LSP invoices. He/she works closely with the sourcing team to support the strategic sourcing process.
Your Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement:
- Creation and implementation of processes for transport and logistics
- Monitoring of transport and logistics key performance indicators, definition and follow-up of improvement actions
- Develop and implement process improvements initiatives.
- Support the supplier performance measurement.
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Support the additional margin negotiation for G/C by providing margin targets by business and identify additional requirements.
- Prepare spot quotes and urgent spot quotes, identify potential suppliers, and confirm their qualification, submit spot quote requests, and clarify any related inquiry.
- Prepare bid analysis and drive cost approval process and business award subject to the defined threshold level.
- Transport Management G/C inbound/outbound:
- Manage the end-to-end G/C transportation for projects planning, execution, freight settlement and payment and transport claims.
- Manage the end-to-end G/C charge calculation including calculations and system updates/maintenance.
- Support customs operations process by communicating requirements to the customs operation's specialist, suppliers, customers and transport planners.

Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics & supply chain management.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

- US road freight market
- Global ocean freight

- Key performance indicator capturing and analyses
