SUMMARY
The Treasury Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of Lightsource bp Treasury with respect to cash management and trade finance in the USA. This role will be based in the USA and is part of the wider Treasury team, all allocated in the UK. We are looking for a highly responsible individual with the ability to work in a remote role with minimal supervision. Therefore, good communication skills and the ability to work with global stakeholders are key. The Treasury manager will work closely with our Front office Treasury Manager & Senior Trade finance analyst based in the UK.  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Cash Management
•    Management of USA Treasury payments including inter-company funding & corporate facility payments.
•    Support in transformation of the of cash management practices in USA for example setting up cash pooling structures and streaming bank relationships. 
•    Ownership of the USA contribution to the monthly funding process to the Front office Treasury Manager in London.     
•    Assist in the management of daily operations for the corporate Facilities including day to day management of drawdowns, Rollovers, and record keeping of notices.
Trade finance 
•    Review of trade finance requests from global Lightsource bp project teams.
•    Structure trade finance transactions to generate cost efficiencies, optimize credit capacity and mitigate transactional risk.
•    Negotiate trade instrument wordings with banks / insurers and beneficiaries.
•    Complete transactional due diligence and obtain internal approvals to execute trade finance transactions.
•    Co-ordinate the execution of trade transactions with the banks / insurers
•    Manage trade finance cancellation process.

Reporting
•    Contribution to the Monthly Cash update report.
•    Prepare reports for the Americas Cash forum. 
•    Prepare Treasury procedure documents. 
•    Contribute to the trade finance forecasting process. 
•    Record keeping 

Technical Skills
•    Cash management experience
•    Experience issuing trade finance instruments.
•    Intercompany management
•    An understanding of the solar and energy industry
•    Understanding of counterparty and liquidity risk 
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Capable in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Power BI

EXPERIENCE 
•    Treasury professional with minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international company
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Certified Treasury Professional (CPT) certification highly desired

•    Detailed oriented and well organised
•    Positive attitude to a dynamic, changing, and fast paced environment
•    Able to work efficiently and effectively under the pressure of tight deadlines.
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Problem solving and proactive attitude.
•    Fluency in English is essential
