Our company’s continued growth creates an exciting opportunity for a Field Superintendent to join our team of professionals in Tempe, AZ.
Provide job site coordination for flooring support at all phases of commercial projects. Includes communicating and directing subcontractors, tracking and managing materials, equipment, quality control and keeping work on schedule. The superintendent is the eyes and ears out in the field and is the liaison between the field and the office.
Responsibilities: - Evaluate installation in progress and ensure it meets quality requirements and customer expectations
- Communicate job site assessments verbally and in writing in order to address floor preparation issues and facilitate installation schedule
- Assess and balance personnel and project needs and resources
- Manage schedules to cover multiple job sites
- Utilize architectural blue prints and plans to assess installation requirements
- Safely drive company vehicles to multiple job sites, communicating progress and needs with field office
- Track progress of each job, taking pictures when needed
- Attend all meetings necessary and communicate regularly with subcontractors
Requirements :
- Minimum of two years construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow procedures and make operational decisions and judgments
- Effectively manage day-to-day interaction with clients, general contractors, sales personnel, office personnel, vendors, and staff from a variety of departments
- High attention to detail, follow up and excellent customer service
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all available products used by the Company as it relates to product installation
- Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, and co-workers
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with co-workers, supervisors & clients
- Proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Be able to read architectural plans
