Job description
EHS Coordinator
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to assist in reducing job-related risks and incidents. The position is based in the Midland/Odessa Area, and the candidate must be Bilingual – English and Spanish, written and verbal.

EHS Coordinator Details:
- Direct Hire position
- $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /annually
- First Shift
- Inspects working conditions to ensure all activities comply with HSE guidelines.
- Suggest safety measures to reduce or eliminate HSE risks.
- Assist in establishing and executing HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in incident investigation(s).
- Create records of HSE-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in planning and conducting HSE training initiatives.
- Liaise with managers to track compliance and determine HSE concerns.
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.
- Assist in collaborating with and reporting to official regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
- Conduct site inspections to evaluate HSE risks.
- Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace environment as part of a continuous improvement program.
- Closely work with company management to identify HSE-related issues and supervise the observance of safety regulations.
- Trains employees in safety procedures.
- Oversees the use of potentially dangerous chemicals and machinery.
- Overnight travel to satellite offices is required up to 30%.
- Other duties as assigned.
EHS Coordinator Qualifications:
- Understanding of HSE guidelines, implementation, training programs, and practices.
- This position will need to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialist information in a simple manner. Hence, strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- The candidate must work with other staff members and top management in this role. The ability to collaborate effectively and work well with others is required.
- In this role, the candidate must build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information, and develop a mutual knowledge base to effectively implement health, safety & environmental guidelines.
- Being involved in the decision-making process is paramount to this role.
- The candidate should be able to prioritize, schedule, and organize activities to meet the objectives of the company and the role.
- The ability to resolve problems creatively using practical solutions is essential.
- Knowledgeable with MS Office. Strong communication and advisory skills.
- Demonstrates ability to remain calm and cool-headed in the event of an emergency.
- Exhibits knowledge of appropriate emergency protocols.
- Possesses knowledge of potential legal repercussions from workplace incidents.
- Demonstrates familiarity with heavy machinery and tools.
