Seeking a highly skilled and certified medical coder with 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and coding. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with coding guidelines. 

Key responsibilities include reviewing medical records, identifying relevant codes, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of coding regulations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate and timely billing processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the healthcare revenue cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Assign the patient to diagnosis-related groups (DRGs), using appropriate computer software.
• Identify, compile, abstract, and code patient data, using standard classification systems.
• Enter data, such as demographic characteristics, history and extent of disease, diagnostic procedures, or treatment into computer.
• Compile and maintain patients' medical records to document condition and treatment and to provide data for research or cost control and care improvement efforts.
• Resolve or clarify codes or diagnoses with conflicting, missing, or unclear information by consulting with doctors or others or by participating in the coding team's regular meetings.
• Retrieve patient medical records for physicians, technicians, or other medical personnel.
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
• Process and prepare business or government forms.
