Job Description

Team: The intern will join a team of battery experimentalists and control systems experts focused on developing advanced models and algorithms to monitor and optimize the performance of Lithium-ion batteries. As a part of the Powertrain Solutions-Battery division, the team contributes to the development of next-generation Bosch products such as cloud-based services for electric vehicle battery management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and apply experimental methods to investigate the different parameters of battery components.
• Design and implement advanced electrical test plans for collecting relevant data needed to parameterize existing performance and lifetime models of lithium-ion batteries.
• Process electrical test data and extract relevant material properties.
• Utilize parameterized battery models to propose possible improvements based on results from data analysis

Qualifications

Required Qualification :

• Currently enrolled Master’s or PhD student in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry with a focus on electrochemistry
• Expertise in coin cell fabrication
• Experience in testing with battery cyclers
• Experience with analytical tools such as XRD and SEM
• Expertise in data processing and parameter identification (Matlab experience preferred)

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $40-$50 . Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
