Pure Search | Tax Director - M&A | Mid-Tier Firm | NY
Pure Search are currently working in partnership with a fantastic CPA firm on the East Coast in order to recruit a Tax M&A Director for one of their East Coast offices. My client offers the opportunity to work on a growing portfolio and to work alongside some highly technical Partners. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone from high ranking CPA firm who is looking for more autonomy and growth in their role.
The role;
As a Director within the M&A Tax Team, you will be partly responsible for the development of the M&A team and providing highly technical M&A compliance support to the team.
Duties include but are not limited to;
* To manage, grow and be representative of a strong M&A team and upskill more junior members of staff when necessary
* To be a front runner in the development of the portfolio and work in developing business for the M&A team and wider areas of the firm where possible
* To manage a portfolio that ranges across a wide range of clients
* Lead on and undertake provisioning, compliance and advisory work
* To be a key figure in the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders and senior members
* Being a key figure for risk and logging risks/escalations
The relevant candidates will have;
* JD, LLM or CPA qualification
* Strong track record and proven ability within M&A and cross-border transactions
* Have excellent communication skills and a record in organisation and people management
* Be able to come into the office on a hybrid basis and to be located or looking to relocate to New York
