Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Services Manager with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering to lead and oversee our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the delivery of mechanical engineering services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Location and Salary - This posotion is full-time and on-site in Gaithersburg, MD. The starting salary is $120-$135k + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee project assignments, workload distribution, and resource allocation to optimize team productivity.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical engineering solutions into comprehensive project deliverables.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mechanical engineering to guide the team in adopting innovative approaches.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in solving complex mechanical engineering challenges.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical engineering services.
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Resource Optimization:
- Optimize the utilization of resources, both human and technological, to maximize efficiency and deliver cost-effective mechanical engineering services.
- Evaluate and recommend the acquisition of new tools, software, and equipment to enhance the team's capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a managerial role within the mechanical engineering domain.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
