Job Overview:

Graham Technologies (GTECH) seeks a Data Architect Senior, who will focus on how information moves across the system from one application to another. Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering, software architecture, software testing, and software deployment including understanding how the software interacts with the technical architecture. Data architects allow a company to easily publish and share their data with others in the industry, data architects design database systems. By creating the system according to industry standards, they also help a business accurately report information to the necessary bureaus. First, the architect may review any data architecture already in place, while also determining the specifications for the size of the new system. The databases they create organize large bits of information, such as company spending. Additionally, they design with growth in mind, allowing for future modifications to the database as the company develops.

You will be happy to know that this a remote role with a preference for candidates based in Dayton, OH or the DC area. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and training. The role requires collaboration with teams across different departments and locations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain legacy, modern, and AWS-hosted data structures.
• Construct and maintain data models with inputs from Project Architects.
• Ensure the security and maintenance of data structures throughout the project.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs with the client's infrastructure team, including requisitions and design documentation.
• Develop and maintain Java code and develop services-based interactions with J2EE based applications.
• Evaluate, summarize and provide recommendations on the use, quality, and completeness of data.
• Work closely with the team to ensure data and documentation quality.
• Familiarity and experience with Appian platform.

Competencies:

• Deep knowledge about legacy, modern, and AWS-hosted data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Java code development, services-based interactions, and Appian.
• Experience with system administration.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• MA/MS degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of directly relevant industry experience. • 12+ years BA/BS degree
• US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect.
• Familiarity with system administra ti on, Java code development, Appian, and data structures (legacy, modern, AWS-hosted).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant field
