Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities, businesses and governments around the world. The Kuiper Marketing team is looking for an experienced Event Manager to join the Global Events team to manage events (end to end), including B2B, B2C, Government and community events. In addition, this role will spend 50% of their time leading operations and management of our Executive Briefing Center, scheduled to launch in June 2024. This role has high visibility and will work closely with other marketing teams, design, business development, product, executive leadership and other stakeholders/contributors. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who excels in change management and can apply their understanding of the business to events in ways that deliver strong ROI and delights attendees. Key job responsibilities
Executive Briefing Center Management - 50%
- Manage end-to-end briefing planning process for executive briefings hosted in our inaugural Redmond, WA Executive Briefing Center
- Manage internal approvals process with legal, Export Control, and Engineering.
- Develop briefing agendas and facilitate experiences that connect Kuiper executive leaders, technical subject matter expert, and customers for strategic, 1:1 outcome-based discussions
- Create mechanisms and drive efficiencies to deliver briefings at scale
- Ability to build key relationships to drive the successful delivery of a streamlined experience to internal stakeholders and customers
- Partner with key stakeholders including EBC programming, sales, marketing, and technical communities to develop enablement materials for Kuiper BD teams to promote program value and adoption within assigned industries.
- Effectively improve, and in some cases, develop standard operating procedures

Event Management - 50%
- Build experiences for scaling across multiple channels and geographies, with a focus on marketing engagement measurement, optimization and operational excellence.
- Drive innovative in-person, hybrid, and remote events end-to-end on a global scale.
- Foster a planning environment that enables rich co-creation and iteration on great ideas for best possible outcomes.
- Lead collaborative project teams to create and drive inspired e2e 1P and 3P experiences including concept, vision, comms, web, registration, main stage and breakout programming, visual design, event tech, video content, and related logistics, working in partnership with Brand and Creative, B2B Marketing, B2C Marketing, PR, BD, and other internal business stakeholders.
- Develop and manage work back plan and cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and workstream requirements; act as the source of truth for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and manage strategy and execution/logistics including budgeting and financial management, venue, agency, calendaring/scheduling, speaker prep, contracts, vendors, deliverables tracking, delighters, food and beverage, etc.
- Drive all cross-functional project workstreams to successful execution, track cross-functional deliverables and escalate when necessary.
- Develop and foster stakeholder trust by initiating and nurturing partnerships and delivering consistent subject matter expertise.
- Effectively manage resources and priorities to deliver against competing projects. Identify and problem solve resourcing risks.
- Optimize the event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes, in partnership with the Head of Events.
- Demonstrate measurable business impact based on the goals outlined for each experience. Use post-event analytics and data to inform recommendations for future events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Seven (7) or more years of experience in E2E event project management or Marketing
- Strong project and program management experience with emphasis on setting goals, budgets, and timelines, mitigating risks, and managing delivery through multiple partners and dependencies.
- Deep knowledge around event program management tactics, including development of workback plans and timelines, budgets, briefs, end-to-end project plans, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
