Description Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager The Strategic Sourcing Manager shall be responsible for supporting the Purchasing Director to coordinate and execute supply chain operational activities. The duties shall include but not be limited to the following: - Cost saving project management, negotiation of favorable payment terms, pricing, MOQ, lot sizes, with suppliers as assigned.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to drive process improvements, reduce costs and leverage supplier relationships.
- Gather job requirements and perform procurement and project management of campaigns or projects with understanding of the client's objectives.
- Ensure that visual management tools and metrics are established and maintained.
- Find innovative solutions to deliver cost efficiencies to create enhanced value.
- Work in close alignment with Director of Purchasing, Plant Managers, and Quality.
- Drive supplier quality and service performance, cost savings, and continual improvement initiatives, supplier innovation and risk management activities.
- Support the development, planning, and implementation of sourcing strategies within the respective spend area that delivers best value, price, compliance, and efficiencies.
- Manage suppliers to build trust to resolve issues regarding performance, timelines, product quality, delivery, and commitments.
- Create bid packages and perform bid analysis, reviewing findings and recommendations with Purchasing Management and Project Team for assigned commodities.
Qualifications Requirements: - Bachelors, with equivalent sourcing/procurement experience.
- Accept direction and projects from Purchasing Director.
- Maintain cooperative and open communication with all personnel and departments.
- Proficient with computers; Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
- Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast paced environment.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
