Job description
Located in Washington DC, we are a Nuclear Electric Power Generation company on a mission to decarbonize global energy production and increase access to clean, affordable power. We are a full-service developer of small modular nuclear power projects with the goal of finally scaling nuclear by dramatically reducing the time and cost of construction.
We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer with an interest in advanced power plant technology to work on the design of our power plant system.- Competitive Compensation Package

- Develop P&ID's, equipment specifications, heat and mass balances, associated process calculations, mechanical layouts, vendor coordination, and hazardous operability reports
- Troubleshoot and complete root cause failure analysis on assigned projects
- Maintenance and development of calculation tools and some other document templates
- Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team for the development of conceptual design and estimates
- Understand the project delivery process and help define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals, safety and reliability, and improvement efforts
- 10+ years of experience as a mechanical or process engineer
- Experience as a lead process engineer | project engineer coordinating multiple disciplines in the execution of large industrial capital projects
- Experience working on studies, estimates, and detailed design of power plants in an EPC role including proficiency with use and creation of P&IDs
- Experience with boilers, steam turbines, boiler feedwater treatment, condensers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, fans, tanks, compressed air systems, pipes, valves and other balance of plant equipment associated with power generation
- Professional Engineer registration preferred
