Job Summary

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation. The purpose of this position is to independently perform project management, communication, analysis, reporting, and dissemination activities for a variety of projects and programs at Healthforce Center at UCSF. All projects relate to the people of health care and may include projects in several of our core work areas - research, evaluation, consulting, convening across health care sectors, and leadership development. Equity has been woven throughout our work for twenty years and continues to be a primary thread in everything we do.

Under the direction of Healthforce Center senior leadership, faculty and/or Principal Investigators, this individual works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization to ensure that the projects are implemented according to plan. This position exercises broad project management responsibilities that require managing projects from start to finish - including coordinating all aspects of the work from once the scope of work has been signed until all deliverables are complete. This individual works independently, receiving little direction regarding responsibilities for ongoing projects and general instructions on new project assignments, projects, and initiatives. Activities conducted by the individual in this role include engaging internal and external stakeholders in the work and necessary processes; conducting qualitative or quantitative analyses to inform the work; writing and editing reports and other materials for dissemination that include context for the work, results, themes, key findings, summaries and/or recommendations; presenting work products or themes to internal and external audiences; and ensuring that the work is completed on-time and on-budget.
