Job Summary

The Development Associate will provide administrative support for the Engagement & Participation team within the Office of Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The Engagement team encompasses Annual Giving, Grateful Patients & Families, Gift Administration, donor stewardship programs, and special fundraising initiatives.

The Development Associate will ideally have experience in development fundraising within higher education or a similar non-profit organization. Candidates should be comfortable and confident with all Microsoft programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook, and be used to working in a project management-based environment. High energy, a positive outlook, attention to detail a creative problem-solving approach, and the ability to support fast-moving, cross-functional teams with a calm but sunny demeanor is a must.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule.

Required Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of administrative or development experience.

May consider a degree in lieu of experience. 

Experience working for an academic medical center or health-related organization, familiarity with grant processes, and writing experience helpful.
