The Office of Information Technology (OCIT) is looking for an accomplished Sr SQL Report Developer with strong Transact SQL skills to play a pivotal role. This position is responsible for the creation of reports in SSRS, Power BI and other reporting tools for large and complex existing databases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Extensive knowledge of T-SQL language
· Strong knowledge and experience of stored procedure writing, query optimization, and indexes
· Possess a strong functional expertise and understanding of the principles, practices, standards, terminology, protocols, and trends in database engineering and administration within large complex organizations
· Analyze, develop, maintain and administer moderately complex MySQL, Oracle 19C and SQL Server 2016/2019 databases
· Install and upgrade SQL Server software and other related tools
· Knowledge of and experience with database management system, data mart, data warehouse, operational data store, and processing flowcharting techniques
· Assist in setting and exercising standards and procedures for the effective utilization of the organization's SQL Server databases
· Experience in using TOAD and/or Spotlight
· Evaluate SQL Server features and related products
· Understanding of SQL Server databases structures, theories, principles, and practices
· Solid understanding of database design methods and data migration techniques
· Knowledge of and experience with database security methods, procedures and best practices
· Knowledge of applications development and support practices
· Knowledge of techniques in defining logical relationships among data, processes, or events
· Knowledge of principles and methods of network and server administration
· Knowledge of and experience with developing and presenting technical documentation
· Knowledge of information technology operating systems and hardware and software components
· Knowledge of Pyspark/Python desirable.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly adapt to an environment to meet customer requirements. The candidate will work closely with customer and must have strong communication skills. The requirement is to be able to write complex Transact SQL queries/stored procedures. The candidate will also train and mentor non-technical staff with writing SQL queries. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and/or knowledge in the following competencies:
Candidates must have a BS and 5+ years of relative experience. We are able to accept 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of education.
Candidates must be able and willing to complete a Drug Screen and LiveScan background investigation.
