Job description
The Network Engineer shall perform system requirements capture, analysis, decomposition, and design. technical planning, system integration, verification and validation. This candidate with evaluate cost and risk alternatives to consider a total system perspective. The candidate will translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
- Experience performing upgrades and routine network O&M.
- Understanding of and experience with Identifying and implementing INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements.
- Experience managing network systems
- Understanding of network operating and maintenance concepts and methods.
- Experience with Cisco, switches, routers, segment routing and other technologies
- Radio Frequency (RF) and spectrum engineering
- Optical networking technology and engineering
- Satellite communications engineering.
- Virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Security best practices
- Continuous integration,
- SecDevOps
- Cisco Certifications: CCNA or CCNP
