Research Assistant

Full-Time


Position Summary:


This position will primarily support the educational endeavors of the Division of Rheumatology, Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill Cornell Medicine. However, there will be the opportunity to be involved with other patient research studies.

Necessary Skills


This is an ideal position for a pre-medical student who has a particular interest in medical education. The successful applicant for this position will be an organized individual who is able to perform a variety of different tasks essential to the conduct of a clinical study. He or she will be flexible, as the job description may evolve as studies progress. The Research Assistant will have access to the medical records of patients, and should appreciate this privilege, and maintain strict confidentiality with all patient medical data. The Research Assistant will also have good interpersonal skills, as he or she will be interfacing directly with patients on a routine basis.


The applicant must be available on site at the hospital during study visits as well as for all educational programs for which the assistant is responsible.
