Job description
Adecco Medical & Science is looking for a Medical Assistant for our client in Gahanna, OH ! This is an onsite role. Please apply below for consideration.
Type: 6-month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offer
Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience
Dress: Scrubs
Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
· Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
· Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKGs
· Administer injections and collect specimen
· Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software
· Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork
· Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures
Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Medical Assistant Diploma
· 1+ Year Recent Primary Care Experience
· 1+ Year Recent Phlebotomy Experience
· 1+ Year Recent Medication Administration Experience (Vaccinations)
· Must obtain certification prior to conversion
