Job brief
Our Sales & Marketing Managers serve the company by helping Courthouse News and its services be discoverable and valuable to lawyers, legal professionals and academics, and business stakeholders.
Success in the role requires fundamental knowledge of inbound and outbound marketing mechanics; knowing how our services work and how prospects can benefit from our various subscription plans and offerings; effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing with our customer support and product development teams; and deep comprehension of analytics and data-driven experimentation.
Responsibilities:
- Build and retain deep knowledge of our company history, our products and services, our subscription plans and pricing, and the value we create for our subscribers
- Create target prospect lists
- Call, email, and meet with target prospects
- Engage, educate, qualify and convert prospects into subscribers
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity in our CRM software
- Strategize regularly with leadership team about market trends, insights, and ideas for how to improve our inbound and outbound sales
- Help promote our high quality content across channels
- Help grow the company by setting meaningful, measurable goals, and doing your best to deliver results

Knowledge Requirements:
- Hubspot – our current customer relationship management software
- Confluence - our current wiki/documentation software
- Sendgrid - our transactional email service
- Fullstory - our qualitative analytics software
- CasePortal – our proprietary legal research platform*
- DataLocker – our internal data intake system*
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
- Zoom

Success Metrics
Your performance will be measured and evaluated on:
- Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Meeting / Presentation / Demo Conversion Rate
- Monthly Revenue
