Job description
Our IT client in Virginia are hiring a GenAI Data Scientist to assume a crucial role in elevating their next-generation product. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of utilizing state-of-the-art technology to uncover concealed insights within extensive datasets, thereby contributing to the progression of national security missions.
Responsibilities:
- As GenAI Data Scientist, you will employ cutting-edge open-source techniques and tools, such as LLMs, to incorporate generative AI solutions seamlessly into the company’s next-gen product.
- You will work collaboratively with the Product team to influence the product roadmap and introduce new developments in the field to sustain their market advantage.
- Design and execute experiments to assess the integrity of data sampling and collection strategies, along with evaluating the accuracy and utility of models.
- Integrate Generative AI and advanced analytics into their next-generation interface, enhancing exploration, understanding and insight derivation about the Information Environment.
- Develop methodologies to deliver pertinent data to users based on natural language inputs and inquiries.
- Experiment with diverse models to enhance the user experience, ensuring results are presented in an easily interpretable manner to foster trust and understanding.
Skillset:
- PhD or Masters degree with 2+ years of experience in a Data Science role showcasing expertise in Python programming.
- Proficiency in common Machine Learning libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.
- Strong understanding of statistics, including familiarity with statistical tests, distributions, and maximum likelihood estimators.
- Proven track record of creatively scoping and planning data science projects, navigating technical challenges and delivering independent solutions aligned with business strategy.
- Experience with Generative AI or Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Expertise in NLP, neural network building or tuning, and database technologies.
- Familiarity with software development procedures and tools such as Agile, Git, and Jira.
- Possess eligibility to obtain government clearance if required/needed.
