Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.
The Role
As a Process Engineer at Veev, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to streamline production and reduce waste. By leveraging your expertise in process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies, you will contribute to the overall success and growth of our modular home manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize production workflows, increase throughput, and reduce manufacturing cycle times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping exercises.
- Design and implement robust quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality modular homes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the construction or prefabricated housing industry.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, process optimization techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools/software for process monitoring and optimization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to modular home construction and manufacturing processes is a plus.
