Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph .
- Work on a team developing a series of applications that are certified, trusted sources of mission-critical data for decision-making across the enterprise.
- Design, build, and maintain databases based on simple requirements.
- Support UX, middleware and backend database development efforts by collaborating with developers to define and implement technical designs that meet project requirements.
- Have frequent interactions with customers to gather input and feedback.
- Maintain and optimize Oracle databases to ensure their reliability, security, and performance.
- Monitor database health and performance, addressing any issues promptly.
- Work in an agile, fast-paced team, creatively solving customer requirement challenges.
- Operate with a high degree of independence and initiative, even with limited technical direction.
Required Education & Years of Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Required Skills
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining a database from simple requirements.
- Oracle SQL experience and knowledge in areas such as creating tables, SQL queries using unions, joins (inner/outer), complex queries and views.
- Data modeling experience.
- Familiarity with Oracle Row Level Security.
- Experience with data ETL.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with AWS RDS.
- Familiarity with database administrative tasks such as backups, database migrations and cloning and restoring (preferably using AWS RDS).
- Knowledge of PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with SQL Developer session/sql monitoring tools.
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
- Experience working with Git for configuration management.
- Experience working with the JSON format.
