Job description

Overview

Physician diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and other disorders. They also work to promote good health and prevent illness. Physician often supervises other healthcare workers, such as physician assistants, nurses, and technicians. Physician applies medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses. They may themselves treat the patients or they may refer them to a different member of the healthcare professional team.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.


Qualifications

Physician will be licensed by the State of Arkansas to practice medicine and/or surgery and will provide clinic physician services for the clinic.

The collegial relationship between the physician and the physician assistant will be consistent with the Physician Assistant Practice Act and the Board of Healing Arts.
