Graduate Technical Intern - Transmission & Market Policy

Job description

To be eligible for PGE's Internship program, you must be at least 18 years old and have met one of the following criteria:

A high school senior that has enrolled in a college or trade school

A current college or trade school student who is returning to college or a trade school as a full-time student

A recent 2022-2023 college graduate

You must provide verification of your student status by submitting your college transcript (an unofficial one is acceptable) or letter of acceptance to a college or trade school with your online application. You will have the opportunity to upload your documents during the online application process.

Graduate Technical Intern – Transmission & Market Policy

We are seeking passionate and driven Graduate Intern to join our dynamic team, where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of energy policy. This internship offers you the chance to work directly on critical initiatives, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) policy, Western Energy Market policy (California Independent System Operator or Southwest Power Pool’s Market+), incorporating state carbon policy into wholesale energy markets, or transmission expansion. Dive into the heart of energy transformation, contributing to the development of policies that will redefine how energy is produced, distributed, and consumed across the nation.

As part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience FERC regulatory policy, wholesale energy markets or transmission This internship is designed for those who motivated to make a tangible impact on the environment and society by promoting sustainable energy solutions. You will be immersed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where your work will directly contribute to the acceleration of the market evolution in the West. Whether you're analyzing policy impacts, crafting innovative solutions for GHG integration, or helping to expand the transmission opportunities, your internship will be at the cutting edge of energy policy. Compensation Range:

$16.00 - $145,375.00

Actual total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
