Role Overview:

As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in various accounting functions, from transaction processing and process improvement to financial reporting. This position offers career advancement potential, with opportunities for organic growth and expansion into additional test sites.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the preparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements following U.S. GAAP standards.
Assist in preparing for our annual financial statement audit.
Record and manage General Ledger transactions related to cash, AP, AR, payroll, prepaids, accrued liabilities, intercompany receivables/payables, and debt.
Conduct timely reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
Take charge of weekly and month-end invoicing responsibilities for multiple locations and lines of business.
Manage the processing of sales tax returns for multiple states.
Maintain the fixed asset schedule and prepare personal property tax returns for several locations.
Serve as backup for processing vendor payments.
Post and reconcile cash and credit card transactions promptly, including proper GL coding.
Prepare, enhance, and automate various reports.
Assist with various Accounts Receivable reporting and deliverables.
Oversee the AP function after a transition period, including vendor invoice review, proper coding, allocation, and implementation of process improvements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Three plus years of relevant experience.
Exposure to General Ledger transactions, including recording and reporting of AP, AR, payroll, prepaids, accrued liabilities, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
Strong Excel skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
Team player with the ability to supervise 1-2 staff members.
Readiness to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities.
Resourcefulness and a passion for process improvement and optimization.
ERP experience required.
Critical thinking skills.
NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAGE, and PowerPoint experience are a plus.

Current work schedule is primarily on-site with remote work one day per week.
No travel required.
