Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, such as lathes and mills, to perform machining operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and programs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using precision measuring tools.
- Make any necessary adjustments or repairs to machines or tooling to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machining-related issues.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices in the use of CNC machines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment. (Preferred, not required)
- Proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, such as lathes and mills.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Experience with precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of machining safety practices and procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform machining tasks for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position.
