Machine Builder – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a process controls and instrumentation equipment manufacturer based in Cleveland, Ohio 44109 who are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Automation Engineer will have experience of design tooling and automation methods to be used with the manufacture and assembly of products.

Salary:                         $55,000 – $85,000

Job Summary:

Use technology to improve, streamline and automate the manufacturing process to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

• Design tooling and automation methods to be used with the manufacture and assembly of products.
• Troubleshoot defects or errors in production technology and perform software testing.
• Write procedures and documentation for manufacturing processes and troubleshooting guides.
• Program, configure, and integrate new equipment into existing processes.
• Contribute to the development of new and/or improved products.
• Analyze design specifications and make recommendations on geometry and features to reduce cost to manufacture.
• Research and identify opportunities to increase efficiency with current automation technology.
• Provide support of the product design with vendors and the applications with customers.
• Provide technical support to production for equipment maintenance, repair and training.
• Work with the customer to optimize the automation performance of the product.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge in industrial, mechanical or automation engineering.
• Self-motivated with the ability to interact with co-workers in a team environment.
• Knowledge of computer programming, software development and robotics.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to keep up with the latest technologies and desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge.
