Job Summary

Audio Production Interns primarily assist the WGLT staff with producing content related to our daily newsmagazine show Sound Ideas, daily podcast The Leadoff, and other programs. The position also prepares individual story segments for use on NPR App (our station's primary listening app) and produces various promos for WGLT. Audio Production Interns are also routinely involved with promo production and other special project work under the supervision of the Program Director.

Pay Rate

$15/hour

Required Qualifications

Requires enrollment in or completion of COM 162/Intro to Radio, CTK 240, or similar experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Adobe Audition experience (or comparable software) preferred.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.


International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work more when the university is not in session.
