Are You Ready?
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is searching for a board-eligible or board-certified physician in psychiatry to work part-time on site at Chillicothe Correctional Institution or full-time on site at both Chillicothe Correctional Institution as well as Ross Correctional Institution, located across the street. The selected psychiatrist will treat a caseload of male patients alongside a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment team. The selected psychiatrist will have clinical support from a central advanced practice provider leadership team, to include a state psychiatry director and assistant state psychiatry director. • Weekdays; no nights

What You'll Do:
• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
- • Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
- • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
- • Managing medication
- • Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
- • Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related ACA standards
- • Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
- • Providing or sharing responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed (provision of on-call services are included as part of the normal job duties and do not garner extra compensation)
- • Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
