Job description

Goldberg Segalla is a dynamic, collaborative and growing law firm with a national presence focusing on helping our clients and colleagues move forward! Our File Rates and File Transition Team seeks an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Team. The position requires the ability to multitask effectively and balance working on multiple requests and projects on a daily basis. Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail are required. This position offers the opportunity to work with a strong, tight knit team dedicated to providing overall support to the entire Firm.

This position is eligible to be on a hybrid work schedule. We are also open to considering a remote role for the right candidate! This position must be based in New York state.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform administrative duties, including proofreading and editing all materials for extreme accuracy and clarity as well as managing shared inboxes in outlook 

• Assist with the collection, entry and maintenance of data in firm systems and databases

• Understand and appropriately follow firm processes and utilize firm systems

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion 

• Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently, with minimal supervision 

• Must have excellent writing and communication skills 

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive

• Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines 

• Assist with calendaring, as needed 

• Additional duties as assigned 

 

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• Works well in a team environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 

• Strong organization and time management skills 

• Strong attention to detail and goal oriented 

• Prior law firm knowledge preferred, but not required 

BENEFITS:
This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $17.00 to $19.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
