We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Summary: As a Senior Estimator at KCG Companies, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of multifamily projects, from concept through construction. You will work closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, and subcontractors to prepare comprehensive estimates that align with project requirements and objectives. Your expertise in cost estimation and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, and equipment costs for multifamily projects.
- Collaborate with the preconstruction team to review project plans and specifications, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids and quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Prepare and present project cost breakdowns, including supporting documentation and justifications.
- Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or design intent.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and material pricing to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Assist project managers with cost reviews and change order negotiations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction estimating for multifamily projects.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Construction-related certifications or education is a plus.
